TERMS & CONDITIONS

Health & safety: We expect the site to be compliant with health and safety rules and requirements. Scaffold access and edge protection to be provided by the main contractor/customer with no charge to Paneltech Scotland. We reserve the right to cancel an installation if we deem the site to be unsafe and if the site cannot be made safe immediately or within a reasonable time frame to allow all works to be completed on schedule. We also reserve the right to make daily rate charges for installations aborted as a result of health and safety issues.


Design & measurements: All design aspects are responsibility of site architects/main contractors. Paneltech Scotland has no design responsibility. In the event that measurements that are provided by others to Paneltech Scotland are found to be incorrect, we have the right to alter any quotation and timescales/schedule. All rectification costs incurred as a result of such incorrect measurements shall be charged as a variation to the contract and any additional time shall be added to the programme in order to allow the rectification works to be carried out.



Building regulation consents: It is assumed that all building regulation requirements and planning permissions are in place and arranged by the customer/main contractor/architect prior to Paneltech Scotland commencing on site. Paneltech Scotland has no responsibility for obtaining any such permissions. Paneltech Scotland is not able to advise on whether any consents are necessary, this is the responsibility of the customer/main contractor/architect. This applies to, but is not limited to; ventilation, warm and cold roofs, condensation assessments, structural requirements, membrane requirements, heat loss/U-values, fire safety.


Timescales: All timescales agreed assume that all necessary preparatory building work is completed to allow Paneltech Scotland to commence unhindered. If Paneltech Scotland is of the opinion that the site is not ready or prepared as agreed/required then timescales and any agreed schedule are subject to revision and cannot be guaranteed. Paneltech Scotland reserve the right to cancel the contract if the project is delayed beyond what Paneltech believe to be a reasonable period.


Amendments, additions: Any unplanned amendments to the design, items additional to the original quote shall be treated as a variation to the contract. However, if these changes have significant implications on the original planned timescales then the additional works may need booked as a new/separate job. Paneltech are not responsible for protecting their works and/or any other works on the project. Any damage to metal work by other contractors can often be rectified by Paneltech Scotland. but will require new quotation and timescales to be agreed and will be chargeable.


Adverse weather: Should adverse weather conditions be encountered, the agreed schedule/timescale may need to be revised.


Quote validity: Our offer is net of any discount and exclusive of VAT. Quotations are based on current material costs and subject to amendment if required. All quotations are open for acceptance for a period of 30 days from the date of issue.


Payment terms: Unless agreed otherwise payment terms will be as follows:

- A deposit of 30% will be requested 8 weeks before commencement of work to ensure materials and labour availability.

- Once work has commenced invoices will be issued fortnightly

- The full balance will be due upon completion of the work

- The due date will be the date of the invoice and the final date for payment will be 7 days from the date of the invoice.

- We may require payment to be made for materials stored off site in a fabrication facility in advance of the site works.

- Materials remain the ownership of Paneltech Scotland until payment is received full. Paneltech reserve the right to remove any of their materials from the works (be it fixed or unfixed) should payment not be made by the final date for payment.

Site amenities: All site amenities are to be provided by the client at no cost to Paneltech Scotland. These include, by are not limited to, the following: welfare facilities, water supply, power, safety lighting, all access requirements, skips etc.

Other matters: We assume our standard insurances are sufficient. Copies of which can be provided upon request. A contract will be formed upon the earlier of the acceptance of a quotation or once works commence on site. All contracts shall be deemed to be a Construction Contract in terms of the HGCR Act 1998. We have made no allowance for any third party certification such as NHBC certification.

If we are requested to proceed with any works on-site, these terms, as stated above, will be considered accepted and will take precedence over any other terms.
